News is coming in from the newly constructed Klingon Government following the eventful, albeit nearly disastrous, coronation of High Councilor Shra'Hawk.

Former High Ambassador to the now exiled Krotoc, Lor'mogh, in a surprisingly broad-move, has won elections for the final remaining seat in the High Council. He, along with other politicians, nearly equally divide the Klingon parliamentary system with former Krotoc-loyalists and Brotherhood of Honor freedom fighters.

At this time, much within the Klingon Empire appears to be returning to 'normal.' The shattered copper statue of Krotoc in veng Square has been replaced by a glorious, towering one of Shra'Hawk: hands upon his sides, medals adorning his leather-robed body. By his side, as if a brother to his cause, is the enigmatic Toq'mar, who surrendered the Qang position to the old fleet admiral.

Reconstruction has commenced upon the civil-war fraught Klingon Defense Force, with an emphasis placed upon the build-up of K'Vort Class Bird of Preys and Vor'cha Class Cruisers: the preferred ships of the winning rebel forces.

Indeed, many within the High Council and Klingon military have begun clamoring for a swift re-armament of Klingon weaponry. The sudden hostilities exhibited by the Cardassian Union towards the Bajorans, and rumors of Tholian piracy along the Federation border have further heightened galactic stability concerns.

In addition to distant tensions, the Gorn's nearby cry for war reparations has gone utterly unanswered. Although the honorable Shra'Hawk attempted to bring up legislation in Council for the matter to be resolved, many old-Krotoc loyalists managed to block the proposal, arguing practicality -- and the Empire's inability to encumber such costly demands at this time.

What the future holds for the Klingon Empire remains uncertain. But, it is clear that their intrigue and outward aggression has not been dulled by the passing of yet another internal conflict within their ancient history.
